Coilover A-Arm Front Suspension - Split/Bay Window Bus '56-'79

 

FINALLY!! Vintage V-Dubs is now selling a top of the line A-Arm / Wishbone Coilover Front Suspension for '55-'79 Buses.

This complete kit comes ready to bolt on to your chassis, replacing the beam, steering box and all associated linkages. This comes complete with late bay spindles and includes wishbones, rack & pinion steering, column support brackets, bevel box, universal jointed link to rack and all the hardware you'll need.

The ride quality and feather weight steering you'll experience while driving your bus has been comparable to that of a BMW.

This suspension is adjustable for height using two methods. The first is a coarse adjustment on the 4 bolt holes. This give 3”, 4”, 5”, and 6” drop. Then there is approx. 1.5” on the coilover which makes a possible total of 7.5”! Fine adjustment can then be carried out using the coilover.

However, neither of the early steel wheels are suitable to run on this setup (14" or 15"). They do not have the clearance on the inside of the rim due to the large step.
